New Delhi, March 26, 2025 – The Government of India has officially opened nominations for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Yoga Awards (PM Yoga Awards) 2025, which recognize outstanding contributions to the promotion and development of Yoga at both national and international levels. Established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the second International Day of Yoga, the awards have become a hallmark of excellence in the field.
Award Categories & Recognition
The PM Yoga Awards are divided into two primary categories:

National Awards: Given to individuals and organizations of Indian origin for their exceptional work in advancing Yoga within the country.

International Awards: Conferred upon individuals and organizations of both Indian and foreign origin for their global impact on Yoga.
Each award includes a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh. In cases where there are joint winners, the cash award is shared among them.
Nomination Process & Selection
The nomination window for the 2025 awards is open from February 17 to March 31, 2025. Interested candidates can either self-nominate or be nominated by recognized Yoga organizations. However, each applicant is eligible to apply for only one category per year.
The selection process involves:

Screening Committee: The Ministry of Ayush appoints a committee to review applications and shortlist up to 50 candidates per category.

Evaluation Committee (Jury): A distinguished jury panel selects the final awardees based on their contributions and impact.
Announcement of Winners & Felicitation Ceremony
The winners of the PM Yoga Awards 2025 will be announced on June 21, 2025, marking the 11th International Day of Yoga. The felicitation ceremony will take place alongside the International Yoga Conference, where dignitaries, Yoga practitioners, and global leaders will gather to celebrate the power of Yoga.
