Tesla, led by Elon Musk, is gearing up to launch its retail operations in India by April 2025, initially importing vehicles from its Berlin Gigafactory. The company has identified showroom locations in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Delhi’s Aerocity, signaling its strong commitment to the Indian market.
This move follows Tesla’s long-standing efforts to enter India, previously stalled due to high import duties on fully assembled electric vehicles. While Tesla plans to import right-hand drive vehicles from Berlin, there are also discussions about potential local manufacturing in the future.
Tesla is actively hiring for key positions in India, emphasizing its long-term commitment to establishing a presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing EV markets.
